Sexual Assault Demonstration Initiative
The Sexual Assault Demonstration Initiative (SADI), the first large-scale project of its kind, was created to enhance sexual assault outreach, services, and community partnerships in dual/multi-service programs. Six sites nationwide engaged in a four-year process of assessment, planning, and implementation of new and enhanced services and organizational capacity building. Various materials, including the Foundations of Advocacy manual, were developed based on the lessons learned across project sites.
Although SADI's focus was on dual/multi-service programs, the materials and recommendations that resulted are widely accepted as some of the best and most promising practices of sexual violence advocacy and are utilized in dual and single-service organizations alike.
